2024 Dodge Hornet Oil Change: Specs & Service

The technician drains the used engine oil and refills the vehicle with the grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. A new oil filter helps support clean oil circulation through the engine. The visit is also logged against the Hornet’s service history.

• Drain and refill with manufacturer-specified oil
• Install a new oil filter
• Reset the oil-life monitor and check underhood fluids

Oil can degrade before it looks visibly dirty, so appearance alone is not a reliable maintenance guide. Fresh oil supports lubrication and heat management for the Hornet’s inline-four engine. Following the vehicle’s maintenance guidance helps keep service documented.

• Oil carries heat away from engine components
• Oil helps transport debris to the filter
• Service history records completed maintenance

The oil-life monitor and the vehicle’s maintenance guidance are more useful than judging oil by color alone. Peoria drivers should also pay attention to changes in engine sound. Scheduling promptly after a reminder helps keep the service history current.

• Watch for the oil-change reminder light
• Track mileage since the previous service
• Respond to dark or low oil on the dipstick

These signs indicate that checking the oil and arranging service is appropriate. A reminder light or overdue mileage provides a clearer maintenance signal than appearance alone. If the Hornet’s engine sound changes, schedule an inspection and oil service.

• Oil-change reminder illumination
• Dark or low oil on the dipstick
• Ticking or louder startup engine noise

The service visit replaces the oil and filter with the grade and capacity the engine specifies. The oil-life monitor is reset, underhood fluid levels are checked, and the completed visit is logged in the vehicle’s history. Use the schedule service page to request an appointment.

The filter is replaced as part of the oil service rather than reused with the fresh oil. The technician also drains and refills the engine with the manufacturer-specified oil grade and capacity. The oil-life monitor is reset after service.

• Used oil is drained
• A new oil filter is installed
• The oil-life monitor is reset

Booking the service logs the visit against the vehicle’s history, giving you a clear maintenance reference. A documented record can help organize future care and show when the previous oil change was completed. The visit also includes an oil-life monitor reset.

• Documents the completed oil service
• Records replacement of the oil filter
• Helps track future maintenance needs

The 2024 Dodge Hornet should be serviced using its maintenance guidance and oil-life monitor rather than color alone. A low dipstick reading, reminder light, or louder startup noise is a reason to arrange service. The technician can check the oil level and complete the oil and filter replacement.

• Oil degradation can occur before visible dirt appears
• Use the oil-life monitor as a maintenance signal
• Check the dipstick for low oil

Service begins by draining the used oil and replacing it with the specified oil. A new oil filter is installed to support oil circulation, and the oil-life monitor is reset when the work is complete. The technician also checks underhood fluid levels. Because the Hornet is offered in multiple configurations, confirming the engine-specific oil requirements at booking supports accurate service.

Regular oil maintenance supports the 2024 Dodge Hornet’s powertrain, which produces 268 to 288 horsepower and 295 to 383 lb-ft of torque across trims. Bring your 2024 Dodge Hornet to Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Peoria in Peoria for an OEM-spec oil change — schedule service.

After the oil and filter replacement, the oil-life monitor is reset and underhood fluid levels are checked. The completed visit is logged against the vehicle’s history, giving Peoria drivers a maintenance record for the Hornet. Drivers should arrange service after an oil-change reminder, when mileage has passed the last visit, or when the oil appears low or the engine sounds louder at startup.

These steps address the core oil-change service for the 2024 Dodge Hornet without relying on oil appearance alone. To arrange an appointment, schedule service with Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Peoria or call 623-400-7471.

Peoria driving can include warm-weather operation, stop-and-go traffic, and daily commuting. Those conditions make it useful to monitor the oil-life reminder, check the dipstick when appropriate, and respond to changes such as ticking or a louder engine sound at startup. Oil can lose its additive package and heat- and debris-carrying ability before it looks dirty.

Booking an oil change also logs the visit against the 2024 Dodge Hornet’s vehicle history. Use the schedule service page to contact Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Peoria, or call 623-400-7471 for assistance.
