How do you keep cool during a heat wave? Do you drink plenty of water? Spend your time in the shade whenever possible? Make sure you wear a hat and sunglasses when the sun's rays are particularly merciless? Your Dodge or Ram vehicle needs the same sort of attention and protection when the temperature rises. Without a break from direct sunlight or sufficient fluid levels, your car, truck or SUV can suffer some significant damage to its battery, engine, paint, interior materials and more.
For one thing, we recommend checking your vehicle's coolant levels routinely. You want the tank to be filled anywhere between the minimum and maximum marks, and you can check it by either removing the dipstick or glancing at the lines on the tank. Without enough coolant, your engine runs the risk of overheating, so don't let this important (and easy) chore fall by the wayside!
