Today, for Throwback Thursday, we've got a tweet that @Dodge posted a few days ago, featuring a beautiful, plum-colored 1970 Challenger R/T. It's both beautiful and intimidating.

The Challenger was first introduced as the "Silver Challenger" from 1958-1959. Eleven years later, in 1970, it reemerged as the Dodge Challenger. The model above is the performance oriented R/T (Road/Track) edition, and featured a 6.28-liter Magnum V-8 engine, that pushed 335 horsepower. Interestingly, the manual transmission was only a three-speed.
After 1974, production was halted until 1978. In 1983, production ceased again, and wouldn't be revived for more than 20 years!
Not to worry! The Challenger is alive today, and we have them in stock here at Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram. Visit us for a test drive, and experience the power for yourself!
